Would you like the opportunity to positively shape the middle school experience of an incoming 6th grader, or the high school experience of an incoming 9th grader?

If so, we welcome you to apply to be an AIM Ambassador!


What is an AIM Ambassador?

AIM Ambassadors are mentors for 6th and 9th grade students AIMing for success. AIM Ambassadors work with their mentee one hour per week at the student’s school. AIM Ambassadors will have the opportunity to have a positive impact on our students.


How can I become an AIM Ambassador?

To become an AIM Ambassador, complete the AIM Ambassador Online Application and successfully complete the SDIRC formal volunteer screening process. Once approved we ask you commit to at least 1 hour a week to the AIM mentoring program for a minimum of one year from the time you are matched. 

What is the SDIRC Volunteer Screening Process for AIM Ambassadors?

  1. Appointment Scheduling: Volunteer screening is handled by appointment only. Volunteers must contact Beth Crisafulli at the SDIRC Human Resources Department in order to schedule an appointment. Email: [email protected]  Phone: 772.564.3148.
  2. Fingerprinting: During your appointment you will be fingerprinted internally at our office located at 6055 57th Street Vero Beach, FL 32967.
  3. Drug Screening: Once fingerprinted, you will be sent to the nearby CareHere! clinic located at 5245 41st Street, Vero Beach, FL 32967 for drug screening.

Once an applicant is screened, cleared, and has begun service at a designated school site, he or she is required to check in through the raptor system (located at the main office/front desk) at minimum once a month.
