Website Accessibility

The School District of Indian River County is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience. We have invested a significant amount of resources to help ensure that our website is made easier to use and more accessible for people of all abilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Accessibility Guidelines

Our aim is to ensure that all pages of this website conform to Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1). These guidelines are the internationally recognized benchmark for building accessible websites.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines also makes web content more user friendly for all people.

Disclaimer

SDIRC continues its efforts to constantly improve the accessibility of its site and services. Despite our best efforts to make all pages and content on Indianriverschools.org and school sites fully accessible, some content may not have yet been fully adapted to the strictest accessibility standards. This may be a result of not having found or identified the most appropriate technological solution.

Reporting Concerns or Possible Violations

If any student, prospective student, employee, guest, or visitor believes that the District has violated the technical standards in its online content, s/he may contact the web accessibility coordinator with any accessibility concerns. S/He may also file a formal complaint utilizing the procedures set out in Board Policy 2260 and Policy 2260.01 relating to Section 504 and Title II.
