From the 2018–2019 school year to 2024–2025, the School District of Indian River County has climbed from 56th to 2nd in the state for Middle School Acceleration among 67 districts.
In 2024–2025, 84% of eligible middle school students took and passed a high school–level State End-of-Course exam.

Today, #MySDIRC proudly participated in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade, honoring the parade theme, Remembering the Past While Embracing the Future, as we reflected on Dr. King’s enduring legacy of service and unity.
In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all SDIRC schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2026. Classes and offices will resume on Tuesday, January 20.
This national day of remembrance honors Dr. King’s legacy of service, leadership, and the pursuit of equity for all.
We invite the #MySDIRC community to join us for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade, themed “Remembering the Past While Embracing the Future,” beginning at 10 a.m. on January 19th. The parade will start at 4545 30th Avenue, Vero Beach, FL.
