Senior families: a heads-up for students considering Army ROTC. The first national scholarship board of the season has a document deadline of Monday, October 12, with the board meeting October 19-23.

A complete packet is more than the online application: official transcripts, SAT or ACT scores, the ROTC Physical Fitness Assessment, and an interview with a Professor of Military Science. Interview timing is set separately, so confirm it with the assigned battalion.

Two more boards follow this school year: Round 2 documents are due January 18, 2027, and Round 3 on March 8. A qualified packet not selected at one board is reconsidered at the next, so an earlier complete packet gets more than one look.

Unlike the service academies, Army ROTC requires no congressional nomination. The scholarships cover full tuition and fees (or room and board), plus a book allowance and monthly stipend, and they carry a service commitment, so talk it through as a family and with your school counselor. Start at goarmy.com/rotc.

Board dates verified October 5, 2026 against the published 2026-2027 Army ROTC scholarship schedule, which cites the official Army ROTC scholarship calendar.
