Our Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is an organization facilitated by Exceptional Student Education staff in collaboration with parents, to give children with special needs in our community a voice. We strive to stimulate parent involvement and establish a proactive means of communication between the school district and parents of students with special needs.
Exceptional Student Education Parent Advisory Council
Mission Statement: Cultivate the partnership between the school district and families of students with special needs through communication, advocacy, education, and collaboration to maximize individual student potential.
Parents of children with special needs can feel overwhelmed and confused; we want families to understand their child's education and to be aware of their rights.
Please feel free to contact a member of the PAC if you have questions. We are here to help you with questions, provide guidance, or support your active involvement in your child's education.
Parents and Professional Partnering to Help Children with Disabilities
Our ESE Parent Advisory Council (PAC) wants you to be involved. You are invited to join the PAC, attend our scheduled monthly meetings, and to become involved in your child's education. The District ESE Department’s Staff meets monthly with the PAC with a specific agenda for working together on the planning, development, and evaluation of exceptional student education services and programs.
You are not alone: Parents who have faced similar challenges can be a great resource for other parents. Let us help you feel empowered. Together we can improve your child’s educational needs.
