Students in Mrs. Zwemer’s class explored how light travels by shining a flashlight beam through different materials—testing what passes through, what bends, and what politely refuses. A classic hands-on experiment that never goes out of style.

Ms. Porter’s 4th graders are exploring Earth’s Place in Space! 🌍☀️🌙 Students modeled the Sun, Earth, and Moon, demonstrating how these celestial bodies interact within our solar system. They also investigated the phases of the Moon—observing, questioning, and discovering just like scientists have done for generations.

Our Holiday Hardcourt Celebration never disappoints! It’s heartwarming to see students, staff, and families all in one place, celebrating together the way a school community should. This year was especially meaningful as it marked the final time we’ll host this beloved tradition on our current campus. While our address will change next year, rest assured—this celebration is coming with us. Some traditions are simply too good to leave behind. In the media center, Ms. Polverari’s classes explored December holidays from around the world and the traditions that make them meaningful. Our Panthers rotated through five KEVA Plank challenges, working together to design and build symbols representing each celebration. A little global learning, a little engineering, and just the right amount of festive fun—tradition meets creativity at its finest.

Mrs. Napier's students applied geometry and patterning skills by creating Christmas tree shapes, decorating ornaments, and identifying repeating patterns, connecting their holiday art to 2nd grade math standards.

1st Grade Ancient Civilization S/CORE Showcase! Our young historians transformed into museum guides, sharing their knowledge and excitement about ancient civilizations with their guests!

Our 6th graders are officially in holiday mode! A heartfelt thank-you to our many volunteers who helped make this year one to remember. Your time, care, and willingness to pitch in kept traditions strong and spirits high—and that’s a gift that never goes out of style.

3rd Grade Stream Day was in full swing! In Ms. Zwemer’s rotation, students put their engineering hats on and set out to build the tallest tree—testing balance, teamwork, and a little old-fashioned trial and error. Sturdy roots, soaring branches, and minds reaching even higher. That’s how learning grows.

Ms. Britner’s class is diving deep into history as they explore the Aztec civilization! 🏛️ From powerful emperors and ingenious chinampas to rich traditions and remarkable achievements, our students are uncovering how the Aztecs built a thriving society that still inspires us today.

Fifth grade recently finished reading Don Quixote, and while the windmills may be behind them, the thinking certainly isn’t. At the end of the novel, Don Quixote dies and Samson Carrasco pens his epitaph. Using that moment as inspiration, students in Ms. Davidson’s class dug into Don Quixote’s character traits and wrote their own epitaphs to honor the Knight of the Woeful Countenance.

Our 2nd grade students delivered a delightful performance of ’Twas the Night Before Christmas under the direction of Ms. Palmer. Their hard work, confidence, and holiday spirit truly shined—proof that a classic never goes out of style, especially when young voices bring it to life. 🎄✨

Ms. Napier’s second graders enjoyed a classic tale with a hands-on twist. After reading The Gingerbread Man, students worked in collaborative groups to design and build bridges that could get him safely across the river—proving that a good story still pairs nicely with good old-fashioned problem-solving.

Ms. Gilmore’s 6th grade students put their persuasive skills to work, using rhetorical strategies to craft and perform their own commercials

Our staff jumped into spirited Reindeer Games this afternoon, clearing out classroom items that have served us well and are ready to retire—just in time for our upcoming move. A little friendly fun worthy of Santa’s approval. 🎄📦

Our elves have been assisting Santa with our Angel Tree to help ensure a merry holiday season for several of our students. Thanks to their kindness and the generosity of our staff, a little extra magic is making its way into many homes this season. 🥰

I’m one lucky Assistant Principal! I truly love my school family and the thoughtful things they do that make this season so special. From kind words and shared laughs to special surprises—like walking into my office suddenly glowing with holiday lights—it’s the everyday moments that remind me why this place feels like home.
