Fourth graders headed off campus today for hands-on learning at the Environmental Learning Center! 🌿🌊 Students explored Florida’s coastal ecosystems, observed native plants and wildlife, and connected their classroom learning to the natural world around them. Experiences like this bring science to life and help our students better understand the importance of protecting our environment. A great day of curiosity, discovery, and a little sunshine along the way! ☀️🐚

Ms. Srigley’s 6th graders are bringing science to life as they use hands-on models to explore the function of the cell membrane! Students are discovering that the cell membrane acts as the gatekeeper of the cell — carefully controlling what moves in and out to keep everything in balance. When they zoom in close, they’re learning that the membrane’s structure resembles soap bubbles, made of tiny molecules arranged in a flexible, protective layer.
