Our second graders brought a little Macy’s magic to campus! After reading Balloons Over Broadway, they engineered their own book-character balloons and proudly paraded them through the halls and cafeteria. A classic story brought to life—literally floating by!

Ms. Polverari’s class learned about Tony Sarg, the creative mind behind the Macy’s Parade balloons featured in Balloons Over Broadway. Students discovered how much engineering, science, and art go into bringing those giant characters to life—then put their own creativity to work by designing and building their own parade balloons. A hands-on tradition in the making!
