Osceola Magnet School is moving to a new campus, and we are excited to welcome our current and incoming families for an exclusive first look.

Please save the date for our Campus Community Open House on April 18 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

This special event is designed for our Osceola families to tour the new campus, explore classrooms and learning spaces, and experience the environment where students will learn and grow. Whether you are already part of our school community or joining us this upcoming school year, this is a wonderful opportunity to see our new home and connect with school leaders.

We look forward to welcoming our Osceola families and celebrating this exciting new beginning together.

Today, excitement filled the cafeteria full of 2nd-grade students as Bob Livingston, a 97-year-old Red Cross volunteer, visited. As Florida's oldest volunteer, Bob has dedicated 27 years to the cause. His visit was timely, as students were learning about the Civil War and Clara Barton, the American Red Cross founder. Bob shared engaging stories about Barton’s legacy and the Red Cross's ongoing vital services, inspiring students to appreciate volunteerism.

Our 6th graders proudly showcased their Marble Transport Engineering Design Challenge projects to our 5th graders during a dynamic Gallery Walk & Talk. Using the engineering design process, students designed and refined systems to transport a marble through a controlled pathway, applying principles of force, motion, gravity, and problem-solving along the way. But the true highlight? Watching our 6th graders step into the role of mentors. They explained their design constraints, prototypes, testing data, and revisions with clarity and confidence. Our 5th graders asked thoughtful questions, analyzed structure and stability, and left inspired for what’s ahead next year. This is what collaboration looks like. This is what engineering tomorrows leaders looks like in action. We are proud of the critical thinking, communication skills, and leadership on display today!

🔬 3rd Grade STEM in Action! 🔬 Our incredible 3rd graders took learning beyond the classroom walls with a hands-on STEM adventure at the Orlando Science Center! From interactive engineering challenges to exploring force, motion, energy, and life sciences, our students weren’t just observing science, they were doing science. They asked questions, tested hypotheses, built solutions, and collaborated like true young scientists and engineers. Experiences like this bring our standards to life and ignite curiosity in ways textbooks simply can’t. We are proud of how our students represented our school! Thank you to our teachers and chaperones for creating opportunities that power up learning and make STEM unforgettable. 💡

Learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door and neither do relationships. Tonight was a powerful reminder that our students are united not just by grade level, but by community. Seeing them supporting one another, competing with heart, and celebrating together outside of school shows what true connection looks like. When students build friendships on the court, on the field, and in the community, they strengthen the culture we work so hard to create inside our school walls. Proud of these Explorers! Thank you Mrs. Steward for cheering on our ballers!!! #MyOMSK8 #StrongerTogether #BeyondTheClassroom #StudentUnity
