Posted on 06/29/2023

Vero Beach, FL, June 29, 2023– Today, the FLDOE released state assessment results in the areas of English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. A review of the results in the various subject areas reveal that the SDIRC realized unprecedented levels of success and growth. Comparison of pre-pandemic performance levels to current results shows significant growth in state rankings when compared to districts on the Treasure Coast, as well as districts across the State of Florida. In anticipation of changes in some state standards and state assessments, the District has used a constant measure of progress and achievement by ranking its performance on state assessments in comparison to other Florida districts who have experienced the same expectations for student performances and changes to standards and state assessments. The results show SDIRC has improved its ranking amongst Florida districts in ALL state assessments.

Superintendent of Schools, David K. Moore, Ed.D. stated, “It is abundantly clear from a review of the data that the SDIRC continues to be an exemplar for the State on providing the instructional quality and supports needed to realize continuous improvement for the benefit of students. Our school teams, district teams, and students are to be commended and celebrated for their unwavering expectations and work that contributed to the current outcomes.”
