SES Mural

Sebastian Elementary School of the Arts (SES) is proudly unveiling its newest community landmark, a student-created mural designed and painted in partnership with Isola Arts and the Sebastian Chamber of Commerce Mural Program. The project, now fully complete, brings color, creativity, and student voice to the heart of the campus.

Every student in kindergarten through fifth grade contributed to the mural’s design and painting process under the guidance of local mural artist Katherine Larson, founder of Isola Arts. This is the first Chamber mural that fully integrates student artists from start to finish, giving SES learners a hands-on role in public art that will be enjoyed for years to come.

The finished piece spans 65 feet in length and 9 feet in height. Installed facing the school’s parking lot and visible from Route 512, the mural proudly showcases the talent of SES students and the school’s commitment to integrating the arts into daily learning.

A ribbon cutting and community reveal will take place on Tuesday, January 21, 2026, at 9:15 AM at Sebastian Elementary School of the Arts. Families, partners, and community members are invited to join in the celebration.

The mural reflects the power of collaboration among students, educators, local organizations, and artists. It stands as a visual symbol of creativity, community pride, and the belief that every student has a story worth sharing.
