2nd grade students at Rosewood Magnet School sold their goods at a “local” market for drachma, Greek money, during Greek Agora Day on May 12. Students selected their items to sell based on which god, goddess or important ancient Greek figure they dressed as based on their research.
During Core Knowledge studies at Rosewood Magnet School, 2nd grade students learned the history of Greek Mythology. Students were given a god, goddess or an important figure during ancient Greek period to research. Students sold goods in exchange for drachma, Greek money.
