Thank you for your interest in conducting research in the School District of Indian River County. As educators, we recognize the value of educational research in improving our practices “to serve all students with excellence”. However, we also must maintain the privacy, safety, and time of our students and staff as well as prioritize limited resources of both district and school-based staff that might be needed to support a variety of research endeavors. To these ends, the Assessment and Accountability Department has developed the attached application procedures to help you through the process of obtaining permission to conduct research in the School District of Indian River County.

Research Application Procedures:

  • Complete the attached SDIRC Application to Conduct Research Form.
  • Send the complete packet:

  • Please allow 7-10 business days for processing. Do not take any further action until you have received a written response from the Assessment and Accountability Department. This includes, but is not limited to: the collection of data; contacting staff members, students, or school personnel regarding your research; and/or the administration of surveys or other research instruments.
