Vero Beach, FL, August 11, 2017– All classrooms at Osceola Magnet Elementary School will open as normal on Monday, August 14th.  Although surface mold was detected in some classrooms, a professional mold remediation company will begin a deep cleaning with professional chemicals over the weekend, with an inspection to follow, in order to ensure the school meets standards for their normal first day of school on Monday.  Per school board procedure, surface mold is to be cleaned and a further air quality test will be done, if deemed necessary.  The School District of Indian River County’s number one priority is to keep our students and teachers safe.  Osceola is looking forward to welcoming their students back on Monday.

The School District of Indian River County is a CommUNITY partnership striving for educational excellence and inspiring every student to be successful.
