Flynn Fidgeon, Public Information Officer
School District Leadership along with Charter School partners have scheduled two Town Hall Presentations to provide information about the proposed 0.50 Millage which will appear on ballots on August 30, Election Day.
The Town Hall dates, locations, and times are:
August 4: Vero Beach High School Performing Arts Center at 6pm.
August 11: Sebastian River High School Performing Arts Center at 6pm.
Each presentation will cover why we are here, how we got here, budget reductions, proposed uses of millage, where we go from here, and finally a Q&A session.
Dr. Rendell said, “We invite everyone to attend the Town Hall to learn more about the proposal. We are very grateful for the support the community has given to the schools with the expiring 0.60 millage. We want to make sure that people understand the rationale for the renewal of the millage at the 0.50 rate and how those funds would be used to support our schools.”
Anyone interested in learning more about the proposed 0.50 millage should plan on attending.
