The School District of Indian River County scored favorably in the following categories:

- Retirement offerings
- Incentive pay
- Percent of employee health insurance covered by the employer
- Dental insurance participation

The District has approximately 2,100 employees, serving the educational needs of approximately 18,000 students at 23 work sites (and in cooperation with 5 charter schools). The School District is the largest daily meal provider in Indian River County, serving 14,000 meals and the largest transportation provider in the county providing rides to and from school for approximately 9,000 students.
