Veteran of the Month and Board MembersRobert was born in Vero Beach in 1984, and graduated from Vero Beach High School in 2002. He joined the United States Army, serving 3 combat tours in Iraq. Robert was awarded the Iraqi Campaign Medal with 5-Stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Award, Expert Rifle Badge, and Combat Action Badge. Upon retiring from the US Army in 2013, Robert attended college and received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources. Robert is a former Disabled Veteran’s Outreach Program Specialist, and case managed, on average, 30 Veterans, with the intent of helping them become gainfully employed. Robert is currently the Veteran Service Officer for Indian River County. His dream came true as this was a goal he set to achieve upon retiring from the military. Robert’s mission is helping veterans with overcoming obstacles and health complications with resources available within the community.
