School Closure Extended

As of 5:10 p.m., the State Board of Education announced new directives for schools to remain closed through April 15th. Following spring break, we will be activating our Instructional Provision Plan. This plan will allow our students to choose from multiple pathways and provide our students with standards based instruction, and connection to their teachers through various communication platforms. In the coming days, we will clarify the process to be followed by parents and students to fully understand the plan they will be using at home.

Please continue to check our website, and monitor District social media platforms, for additional information regarding this new resource.

We are awaiting information regarding waiving missed instructional minutes, testing requirements, and graduation requirements. What we currently know is that all state assessments for the remainder of the year will be canceled, and school systems have been asked not to conduct any events that require more than 10 people gathering in a space.

We understand that as the situation continues to evolve, the sharing of information may result in additional questions. As a district, we will continue to work with the state as they release new information, and make sure that we are making the most informed decisions in the best interest of our school community.
