Students who have attained the age of 16 years and who meet one or more of the following requirements may enroll in most of the career programs at Technical Center for Career & Adult Education: standard high school diploma, GED, or Florida Equivalency Diploma. Students enrolling in programs of less than 450 hours are not required to demonstrate state approved scores in reading, math, and language.

PSAV programs offered for 450 hours or more, in accordance with Rule 6A-10.040, F.A.C., the minimum basic skills grade levels required for postsecondary adult career and technical students to complete this program are below:

* Students not achieving the minimum grade level on TABE required from CTE program, one of the TABE exemptions, or Passing Score on Program Industry Certification will NOT be awarded a Program Certificate of Completion.

TABE levels have been compiled from the 2016-2017 curriculum frameworks

Admission requirements in regards to age requirements, prior education, and program entry levels offers reasonable expectations for successful completion of the occupational programs offered at Technical Center for Career and Adult Education campuses regardless of delivery mode.
