SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS

School psychologists are professional-technical employees who work an eight-hour day, 10 months a year (196 days). All school psychologists are district-based but assigned to specific schools in addition to district-wide responsibilities. At each school the school psychologist is provided with office space and necessary technological equipment such as computers and access to printers, scoring software, Internet, and network services.

Professional development opportunities are available in areas such as social skills training, crisis intervention, counseling, assessment, Problem Solving/Response to Intervention, bullying prevention, Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports, and a variety of other Exceptional Student Education topics.

As an integral part of the Student Services and Exceptional Student Education Departments, School Psychological Services collaborates with the other departments to promote overall student well-being. School Psychological Services is managed and supervised by a district-level clinical supervisor with training and experience in school psychology.
