Who is it for? Students in grades 3-12. There are two versions (elementary and secondary).
What is it? An online program with demonstrated positive effects on social emotional learning, mental health, attendance, grades, test scores, discipline (ISS/OSS), and graduation rates. It is listed on SAMHSAs National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices and
is recognized as a National Dropout Prevention Center model program.
How does it work? Students access the program online (via Classlink), just like iReady and other academic programs. It is ideal for a trusted adult to follow-up with the student to discuss what they learned and any related questions.
The program is available throughout the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Suggested playlists are available below, and relate to topics like character, communication, coping with change,
emotional health, learning success, & social emotional learning. Students and parents may explore additional topics related to these content areas, too.
Secondary Students may elect to use the “Pocket Coach” version of the program on their mobile device; otherwise, all students must access the program from a computer.
Where can I find more information about it? Coaching and consultation is available as needed M-F 8:00-5:00 by calling 772-564-6199. Visit: www.indianriverschools.org/sel for more information about social emotional learning.
