Required Inspections

Above ceiling inspection: to be made at each floor level with all trades above the ceiling level in place. Ceiling tiles shall not be installed with the exception of tiles with fixtures installed. Once approval has been made tiles can be put in place.

Electrical inspection: to be made on each floor level. No conduit, boxes, panels or other appurtenances shall be covered or concealed until approval has been issued.

Final Inspection: to be made for each trade after all work is completed and building is ready for occupancy or use.

Fire Protection Systems: to be made at each floor level. All Fire Protection Systems shall remain uncovered and convenient for examination until inspected and approved.

Firewall Inspection: to be made of all fire rated walls, partitions and ceilings after drywall is in place but before required plastering and covering of screws.

Foundation Inspection: to be made after all excavation, forms, and reinforcing steel is in place. A compaction report shall be filed with our office before slabs or footers are poured.

Framing Inspection: to be made at each floor level after all framing, fire stopping, furring, and bracing are in place. All gas, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work shall be roughed in. All tie down and uplift connectors are in place. Windows and storefronts are installed and attachments are open for inspection.

Gas Inspection: to be made for all installations regardless of conditions.

Insulation Inspection: to be made at each floor level. Where required insulation will be inspected for proper rating and placement prior to application of wall or ceiling coverings.

Mechanical Inspection: to be made at each floor level. All work left uncovered until approved.

Plumbing Inspection: to be made in ground and at all floor levels. All work left uncovered until approved.

Reinforcing Steel Inspection: all steel shall be in place ready for concrete

Roofing Inspection: to be made in accordance with FBC chapter15. Additional inspections to be made by manufacture or in accordance to contracts.

Site Concrete Work: all sidewalks, pads, ect. shall be inspected for placement prior to pouring.

Tie beam/Lintel Inspection: to be made after all forms and steel is in place ready for concrete.

All relocatable classrooms shall be inspected according to 69A-58, SREF, and the FBC prior to occupancy by students.

All Fire Alarms and Suppression Systems shall be tested before occupancy.
