Teenage Pregnancy Program

Teenage Parent Program (TAPP)

Pursuant to F.S. 1003.54, the School District of Indian River County maintains a Teenage Parent Program which is designed to provide comprehensive and ancillary services to facilitate the completion of coursework necessary for pregnant and parenting teens to earn a high school diploma. Program components include a specialized curriculum, parenting education, childcare, health services, social services and transportation. Participation is voluntary, all services are free of charge and students are permitted to remain in their zoned school.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Students must be enrolled in a SDIRC school
• Doctor's certification of pregnancy or
• Child's birth certificate
• Signed parental permission to participate in TAPP
