We provide assistive techology intervention strategies, tools, and training to maximize learning outcomes of students with disabilities.
Screening: identify individual student needs for assistive technology in order to participate in his/her educational program.
Assessment: determine strategies, materials, and equipment needed to allow students to participate more fully in their education.
Training: provide district-wide trainings and school-based workshops in assistive technology use and implementation.
Classroom Consultation: provide consultation for improving student success in the classroom using assistive technology.
Equipment Trials: when necessary, following a consultation with an assistive technology team member, equipment trials are initiated. Equipment is on loan (to district designated borrowers) from the state loan library. The equipment trial period is six-eight weeks.
