School Psychology Internship Application
Authors of letters of recommendation should include individuals who can address your on-the-job skills (such as a practicum supervisor), including assessment, consultation/collaboration, intervention development, counseling, etc. and may include individuals who can address your academic behaviors (i.e., professors). We also request transcripts from your current school and from your undergraduate or other schools as appropriate.
Unofficial transcripts are acceptable, but official transcripts will be required prior to employment. Sample reports and other materials that you believe would support your application are also welcome.
Our deadline for receipt of completed applications and supporting materials is January 29, 2010.
Upon reviewing applications we will invite selected applicants to visit our district, view our programs, and speak with the school psychology internship faculty. Interview day for the 2010-2011 school year will be February 12, 2010.
Due to the nature of our interview process we request that you make every effort to be present on that day. If an on-site visit is absolutely not possible on that day we can try to make arrangements for a conference call with a limited number of our faculty.
Ranking of applicants will occur at the end of the interview day. Internship positions will be offered by phone to applicants on March 8, 2010. In accordance with the agreement of school districts in Florida applicants will have until 5:00 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2010 to accept a position or the offer will be rescinded and given to another applicant.
