Substitute Vacancies
On-call Instructional Substitute Pool
Due to the overwhelming response of Substitute Teacher applications this year, we are responding by application date at this time. If and when we hire additional Substitutes, you will be contacted by the Human Resources Department. Thank you for your interest in Substitute teaching with the School District of Indian River County.
At a minimum, applicants must have an AA or AS Degree to be considered for the On-call substitute pool. Substitute applicants must submit the same supporting documents as those required of contractual applicants. You must indicate "Substitute Teaching" as one of your preferences on your application.
Substitute Applications may not be processed immediately. All completed applications will remain on file with the Human Resources Department, and will be processed as the need for Substitute Teachers continue throughout the year. Applicants selected for an interview will be notified of the interview time and place.
